Following the transnational trainings in dance and theatre, the DEAP project is now entering its local implementation phase. Between early 2026 and mid-2026, local workshops will be organised in all partner countries as part of the project’s capacity-building programme
Each partner country will host three artistic workshop cycles in the disciplines of ceramics, dance and theatre, engaging:
- young people with visual impairments,
- trained youth workers who participated in the transnational trainings,
- facilitators supporting artistic and accessibility aspects.
The local workshops are designed as inclusive, safe and creative spaces, where young people with visual impairments can explore artistic expression, build confidence, develop social skills and strengthen their sense of agency. No prior artistic experience is required – curiosity and openness are enough.
Workshops will be tailored to local contexts and participants’ needs, with flexible formats such as intensive sessions or meetings spread over several weeks. Strong emphasis will be placed on accessibility, wellbeing, sensory-based learning and supportive facilitation.
Through these local activities, DEAP aims to translate European-level knowledge into meaningful local impact, empowering young people with visual impairments and strengthening the competences of professionals working with them.
📌 More information about upcoming local workshops will be shared soon by partner organisations in each country.
We warmly invite young people, families, educators and organisations to follow the project and get involved in this inclusive artistic journey.
